Our group, based at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, has been active on Arithmetic Geometry and neighboring fields for several decades. We work both on theoretic questions relative to the geometry and arithmetic of algebraic curves and surfaces, and on developing and implementing algorithms for an effective treatment of such questions.
We are part of the Catalan community of number theorists, and collaborate with researchers of the other universities in the Barcelona area through the Seminari de Teoria de Nombres de Barcelona.
We are also part of the wider community of Algebraic Geometers, and we belong to the Spanish Red de Geometría Algebraica y Singularidades.
